Ariane Schmidt

Ariane Schmidt completed her undergraduate (2013-2017) and master’s (2017-2019) at the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. Her master’s project focused on the “Synthesis, characterization, and thin film preparation of two-dimensional molybdenum-based materials”. Since 2019 she is pursuing her PhD at the same university, focusing on nanocomposites of two-dimensional materials for energy-related applications. In 2022, she was one of the young scientists selected for the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. Currently, she is doing a visiting period at The University of Manchester under the supervision of Prof. Robert Dryfe, aiming at the study of ion transport properties of two-dimensional materials at liquid-liquid interfaces.
