Dr Amy Benstead has been awarded a European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) Networking grant for a new project in collaboration with Albachiara Boffelli (University of Bergamo, Italy) Dr Hamid Moradlou (Cranfield University, UK) and Dr Deodat Edward Mwesiumo (Molde University College, Norway). The grant is intended to foster and promote new research links within the European operations and supply chain management community. The team will research how global challenges such as Covid-19 impact the restructuring of supply chains which give rise to relocation of manufacturing activities and local or regional production.
Dr Amy Benstead, Lecturer in Fashion Management:
“I am looking forward to this exciting new research project and establishing new research links within the European operations and supply chain management community. The research is very timely as the pandemic has really shown the fragility of global supply chains.”
