Meet MACE Student experience 10 July 2020

Welcome to the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering and congratulations on your offer! We hope that you will choose to join us for your postgraduate studies in the autumn.

We’ve written this blog, and put together a welcome message from our Head of Department Tim Stallard, to give you some more information about what happens with your application and when you join the University in October. We realise that, given the unusual circumstances we find ourselves in, you might have some questions or concerns about what it means for your studies. So we hope that you find this video helpful.

We’d like to take the opportunity now to reassure you that we are taking every precaution and closely following government advice to ensure you can join us safely in the first semester. All of our lectures will be conducted online and our labs and teaching spaces have been carefully assessed so that you can still make use of our world-class equipment. In the event that government advice changes, we have developed a suite of digital alternatives to our practical work to ensure that you don’t miss out on any teaching and opportunities.
