Technology Project: Yaokuan Han

Summary

Hanfu is the traditional styles of clothing worn by the Han Chinese. Raditionally, hanfu consists of a robe, or a jacket worn as the upper garment with a skirt commonly worn as the lower garment. Nowadays, the hanfu is gaining recognition as the traditional clothing of the Han ethnic group and has experienced a growing fashion revival among young Han Chinese people in China and in the overseas Chinese diaspora.

However, the traditional Hanfu is rich in patterns, so the production process is complicated. Too many accessories make it cumbersome to wear. The hem of the dress is too long so that people cannot move freely. All kinds of disadvantages make it difficult for Hanfu to appear in daily life. So, while retaining The Han elements, we can introduce modern aesthetics and technology in the design to innovate it to adapt to the development of modern clothing technology, social living environment and cultural environment.
