Business Project: Bee

Summary

Bee is a social enterprise which aims to make a child’s hospital experience less daunting and more fun! As a social enterprise, Bee will donate free children’s hospital gowns to the NHS, featuring multiple child-friendly designs and prints. In addition, the business will produce personalised children’s activity books, which we will sell via owned channels such as our Direct-To-Consumer website and social channels. Bee plans to begin its mission by introducing five different prints and donating them to the Royal Children’s Hospital Manchester. In addition, Bee will host charity events through community fundraising, corporate fundraising, and individual giving in children’s hospitals around Greater Manchester. The proceeds from the book sales will be reinvested into the business, allowing us to fund the design and manufacture of the hospital gowns, alongside helping address our main value; to provide comfort and confidence to children whilst in hospital.
