Welcome to Chemistry 10 July 2020

Well done on your offer to study in the Department of Chemistry, we are excited to welcome you to the University in October.

We’ve put together this blog and a welcome video from our Head of Department Professor David Procter, to give you the latest information about your studies and coming to Manchester in light of the Covid-19 pandemic. We appreciate that you’ll have a lot of questions for us and we hope to answer some of those below.

Please be assured that we are working incredibly hard to ensure your studies aren’t impacted by Coronavirus. We’ve been busy developing our teaching resources so that you can participate in lectures remotely and ensure you gain the necessary skills for a career in industry when you graduate. We’ve also thoroughly assessed our labs and teaching spaces and implemented rigorous health and safety measures to ensure we not only comply with government guidelines but that your wellbeing is at the heart our plans when you join us on campus.
