Congratulations to Henry Box for his new paper, Structure and Mechanism of PhdC, a Prenylated-Flavin Maturase.
Their paper provides structural and mechanistic insight into a recently identified enzyme, PhdC, that catalyses the oxidation of the cofactor Prenylated-Flavin (prFMN) into its active form. PhdC has been shown to promote the activity of prFMN dependent enzymes. Henry is one of SuCCEED’s PhD students and this is his first peer reviewed paper as co-lead author.
