Welcome to the world of ScienceX where visitors can discover what science and engineering is really about.

Our free, in person festival returns to the Central Library in Manchester on Friday 28th October 2022 and Saturday 29th October 2022. The event will be bursting with fun, exciting activities for families, and open to everyone.

ScienceX is a unique day out for the whole family whether educational or interactive there will be hands-on lively activities, mind-blowing experiments and time to discover that science is all around us.

Our real-life scientists and expert engineers showcase their fascinating research, and demonstrate the many, varied, and - often surprising - ways their work can help us all. You may have seen us before at the Trafford Centre, or Manchester’s Central Library but whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor we can’t wait to welcome you to join in the fun and ask plenty of questions!
