The Henry Royce Institute is dedicated to exploring the materials around us including how we maintain, renew, or recycle materials. We are designing and engineering new materials that have a lower environmental cost by considering their structure at a molecular level.  This understanding allows us to predict and improve how these materials work in challenging environments such as at sea, in a nuclear reactor, or as part of a rapidly charging battery.
