Tell me more
To make our everyday devices faster and smarter, we need to engineer increasingly advanced materials, especially semiconductors, for use in computer chips and sensors.
This activity will take you on a journey to explore the way we engineer these materials, including controlling the positions of individual atoms within them.
You can have a go at simplified versions of our techniques to make sure the atoms are behaving as we expect. You can expect a multi-sensory experience involving ball pits, virtual reality, and lasers!
