Climate change is caused by high amounts of greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere (air). A very common greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide (CO2).

Carbon dioxide is released by volcanoes, and is also made by humans when we burn fossil fuels to power our cars and homes.

Investigate the gases that are emitted by volcanoes, their properties, and whether they contribute to climate change.
