Welcome to Part 2 of our podcast celebrating women in science.
Of course, a lot has changed since Part 1 of this episode was released! With the world caught in the coronavirus crisis, we will endeavour to keep bringing you The Buzz. We hope it provides a welcome distraction to the ongoing situation.
We will continue to celebrate the work and heritage of our Faculty – but there may be changes to our delivery schedule and sound quality. We are doing our best to limit these.
In this episode, we look at the work being done across our Faculty to encourage a love of science in girls. We catch up with Dr Lynne Bianchi to discuss the Great Science Share for Schools*, and chat to Dr Kristy Turner about how we can help fix the leaky pipeline – and why the UK is so proud to fail at maths!
There’s also a quiz to test your knowledge on the UK’s science gender gap. And finally we have a brand new feature to take part in – we want to hear your kids’ questions for our scientists and engineers.
