Maxence sits at the intersection of engineering and academic research. Currently a Senior Research Engineer at Google DeepMind, he utilizes AI to automate logic design for TPUs. In parallel, he maintains academic collaborations focused on learning algorithms grounded in physics and control theory\u2014work designed to be both theoretically justified and adaptable to novel computing paradigms.Previously, Maxence worked at Rain AI, bridging the gap between analog hardware research and digital engineering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He began his career as a Research Staff Member at IBM Research. Maxence completed his PhD under Julie Grollier and Damien Querlioz, in close collaboration with Yoshua Bengio.
