Dr. Patrick Parkinson
University of Manchester

Dr Parkinson is the School Head of Research for Natural Sciences at the University of Manchester. Specialising in photonics and optoelectronics, he holds a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship dedicated to developing high-throughput correlative microscopy for nano-optoelectronic devices. His research focusses on bridging the gap between materials science and data-driven discovery by building automated experimental tools and robust software frameworks. With a background including Oxford and the ANU, he currently leads initiatives to standardise measurement variations and foster open research with global academic and industrial partners.
