Dr. Alex Serb

Alexander Serb is a reader at the univ. of Edinburgh. His background is originally in biomedical engineering with a PhD in optoelectronics. Currently he is working on efficient hardware implementations of artificial neural networks, including networks with capacitive synapse, and memory systems, including ternary content-addressable modules. He is also one of the co-Is in the NeuMAT network grant that seeks to connect the UK communities across materials exploration, device development and circuit & system design. He is a member of the IET and senior member of the IEEE
